Dear High School Families,
I hope everyone is keeping well and staying above water! Please make sure to reach out if there’s any way we can support you — it’s a busy stretch ahead, but lots of exciting things are happening across the high school.
We also have several important events coming up:
- TOK Exhibition – November 3: Join us in Madras Hall to support our IB Year 2 students as they explore what it means “to know.”
- CHEMUN XIX – November 7: A huge event involving nearly half of our high school and Middle School.
- Well Week – November 10–14: More details are included below, but this will be a great opportunity to spotlight wellbeing in our community.

CHEMUN XIX
Join Us For CHEMUN XIX – November 7-9, 2025
We warmly invite the AISC Community to come and witness CHEMUN XIX in action as we host nearly 600 delegates from 35 schools across three exciting days of collaborative discussions, debating, and reaching consensus.
This student-run conference showcases over 100 AISC high school and middle school students participating in a world-class MUN experience, leading to a powerful learning experience.
We warmly encourage all faculty/the AISC Community to drop into committee sessions to see our delegates—and visiting students—tackle global challenges with courage, confidence, and collaborative spirit.
The best times to observe students in action are:
- Friday, November 7: 10:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Saturday, November 8: 12:00 pm onwards
Well Week
AISC joins together in Well Week November 10-14. Teachers and students have the opportunity to participate in events that support wellbeing and connection:

Season 2 Activities and Sports
This week we are seeing the conclusion of our season 1 SAISA sports, and also the launch of the second season with information at the club and activity mela for HS students on November 5th. A form went to students to sign up for new clubs, clubs that are open to new members joining now, and the second season sports. Season 2 starts on November 10th.
Season 2 sports include:
- Table Tennis concluding February here at AISC
- Tennis concluding January at AISC
- Girls Soccer concluding February in Muscat
- Boys Basketball concluding February tbc
- Track & Field concluding February at AISC
End of Semester Exams and WinterFest
Please use this link to view the Semester 1 semester exam schedule. In this spreadsheet you will find two tabs, the first showing the semester exam schedule and the second listing the classes that will have alternative exams.
The last day of regular classes is Monday, December 8 with alternative exams December 9-12. Semester exams will be from December 15-19. These final assessments are an important part of our student learning and assessment cycle. All students are expected to attend their scheduled exams and adhere to project submission deadlines. Please note that attendance for these exams during this exam week is mandatory.
We will finish the semester with a new event, Winter Fest, on Friday, December 19. More details on this event will be shared soon. Students will be expected to attend Winter Fest and be on campus from 12:00-3:30 on December 19.
