Dear HS Parents and Guardians,

It’s been a full and productive week in the High School as students continue with end-of-term assessments and a great deal of meaningful learning across classes. As we move closer to final projects and exams, we are noticing a bit of rising stress among students. Our teachers are working closely with them on effective study habits, revision planning, and strategies to help them stay balanced and grounded. Thank you for continuing to support healthy routines at home: sleep, organization, and downtime make a big difference.

We also had several special events last weekend a successful Saturday program led by our students through the Help For India partnership with Teach For India and a mission trip for Operation Smile.

Looking ahead, we have some lovely celebrations next week that highlight the creativity and talent of our students. We warmly invite you to join us for:

  • The High School Winter Choir & Band Concert
  • The Art Collective OpeningThursday, December 4, 4:00–5:00 pm in the FAC Atrium
This year’s Art Collective coincides with the Winter Concert, creating a wonderful opportunity to gather as a community and celebrate our young artists.

As we head into the long weekend, we wish all of our families a very Happy Thanksgiving. We hope you enjoy time with loved ones and return refreshed for the exciting weeks ahead

Ms. Justyna, Mr. Galaty and Mr. Kader

Semester 1 Final Assessments: Key Information for High School Families

The last nine days of the semester are dedicated to final assessments. All sports, clubs, and activities for high school students will be suspended during this period.

From Monday, December 8 to Friday, December 12, students will follow their regular class schedule. During this week, students will:

  • Complete alternative final assessments (papers, projects, presentations, or products)
  • Review for their final exam, if the course concludes with a final exam
  • Attend the last day of regular classes for the semester

From December 15–18, students will sit for 2-hour final exams in courses that include a final exam.

  • There are no regular classes during this week.
  • Students only need to be on campus for their scheduled exams (please plan to arrive 30 minutes before each exam).
  • Students are welcome to remain on campus throughout the day to study, meet with teachers, or complete schoolwork.
  • Once students leave campus after their final exam for the day, they may not return that same day.

Please refer to the schedule here:

New This Year: Friday, December 19

All high school students are expected to be on campus on Friday, December 19, as we will close the semester with a holiday lunch and end-of-semester connecting and concluding activities.

  • Students who miss this day due to travel plans will have the absence recorded.
Semester 1 report cards will be shared in January.
PCA Meeting December 1 – Supporting Leavers and Stayers

Please join the counselors and Transition Council at Monday’s PCA meeting for a presentation on Globally Mobile: Families in Transition. We will discuss the unique characteristics of international families, including what it is like to be new, staying, or leaving. We will also explore how to “leave well” and the internal and external processes involved in transitions.
