Dear Parents and Students,

We are proud to share the students who have been selected by the HS Faculty for the High School Vision of an AISC Learner: Thinker recognition

Thinkers are those students who examine information critically and creatively to analyze and take considered action to solve problems in the classroom. These students exercise initiative in making reasoned, ethical and data-informed decisions. Thinkers may demonstrate their thinking by being thoroughly prepared and well informed, by asking clarifying questions, by deeply engaging with the material taught in class, by considering information and ideas from multiple perspectives and thus increasing understanding.

Repeat: AP and IB Exam period and study leave

IB Exams start today and end May 20.  AP Exams begin May 5 and end May 23

The AP/IB Exam schedule is here

Study leave for all students sitting for AP and IB exams – Study leave is extended for each student for their morning or afternoon exam session itself AND the half day prior. For example, if one has a morning AP or IB exam, study leave is extended for the previous afternoon.  If one has an afternoon exam, study leave is given for that morning. This allows students additional time to best prepare for their exam.

Late Arrival/Early Departure after IB and AP classes are completed – All IB and AP classes conclude on the day of the exam. There are no classes for that subject after the exam. Students are not required to be on campus during the block of a concluded AP or IB class, if that class is at the beginning or the end of the day. For example, after May 5th, when the AP Biology exam occurs, there are no more AP Biology classes. If a student had AP Biology class during Block A4, on Tuesday, May 6th, an A1 day, the student may depart school early, as A4 is the last block. To do so, each student must check in/check out with the HS Office and Security.  There is no re-entry allowed.

If you would like your child to continue attending from 8:30-3:30, please inform the office. Otherwise, students will be allowed to arrive late and depart early.
