Dear Parents and Students,

Cabaret is coming!

AISC’s biggest talent show is back! Cabaret-e-Mehfil takes the stage on April 17, from 6:00–7:30 PM—an evening where AISC’s finest homegrown talent will enthrall the community. This year, Cabaret takes the form of a Mehfil—a gathering to celebrate music, dance, and artistic expression rooted in the traditions of the Indian subcontinent. Over 50 middle and high school students are rehearsing hard to bring you a night to remember. Don’t miss the magic—see you at the Cabaret-e-Mehfil!

HS MAP testing for Grades 9 and 10 April 21 and 22

On April 21 and 22, students in Grade 9 and 10 will complete the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) tests Reading and Language Usage. These are untimed, multiple-choice tests that can help us better understand student growth. These tests do not impact a student’s grades in their classes nor their placement in future courses. The MAP testing schedule is here.

Please support your students to do their best on these assessments of their growth by ensuring they get full sleep, a good breakfast and arrive at school with fully charged laptops and their charging cables.

In the Spotlight: CTRW 1 and 2: Teen ‘Zines

AISC 9th and 10th graders have concluded a shared unit in CTRW1 and CTRW2. A remarkable result are the ‘zines students created to demonstrate their critical thinking, reading and writing.  Even if you did get a chance to visit their table at the Celebration of Learning, please have a look. Included in the folder are ‘zines from 9th and 10th graders, and a reflection created since the Celebration of Learning. Teen ‘Zines
