Dear Parents,

We are now fully back into the rhythm of the school year, with classes settled after the add/drop period. We hope your child is enjoying their learning and feeling connected to our community.

This week brings lots of exciting activity on campus:

  • MAP testing begins soon for students in Gr9 and Gr10, giving us important insights into student growth.
  • Clubs and activities are up and running, offering students new opportunities to explore interests and build connections.
  • Athletics season is kicking off- our Raptors are ready to soar!
  • High School Parent Coffee is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26 -a great chance to connect and engage.
  • Religious Holiday of Ganesh Chaturthi:: Please note, school will be closed on Wednesday, August 27 to celebrate this occasion

We are excited for all that lies ahead and thank you for your continued partnership as we create a purposeful, joyful year of learning together.

Kindest Regards

School-Monitored Makeup Sessions (SMMS)

Our first School-Monitored Makeup Session is today, August 22 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the Hall of Light (HoL).  SMMSs are held at the end of every week usually on Friday and occasionally there is a Saturday session. SMMS is a dedicated time for students to make-up late or missed assessments or complete a retake of a summative in a supervised setting.  When teachers assign your child to the SMMS, attendance is mandatory. You will receive an email notifying you if your child is assigned to SMMS by the evening before the SMMS.

Coming Up: High School Back to School Afternoon: Wednesday, September 3rd

Reminder: Parent Coffee Focused on Discover India & the Crew Program

High School Parent Coffee #1 – Tuesday, August 26
Topic: Discover India & the Crew Program
Time & Location: 8:45–9:45 AM  BBT (on campus)

This session is especially designed for parents who are new to high school to learn about our unique Discover India program and the Crew system that supports belonging, leadership, and learning. Returning parents are warmly welcome to attend as well.

New this year: To support more families, we’ll be recording the session and sharing both the video and slide deck afterward. This will allow you to stay informed even if you’re unable to attend in person. We’re trialing this new approach and welcome your feedback as we go!

Have a great weekend
