Dear HS Parents and Guardians,
As we move into the final stretch of the semester, I wanted to share a few important updates and highlight what’s coming up over the next two weeks.
Thank You for Your Support
We’ve had three days of virtual learning this week, and I want to extend my appreciation for your flexibility at home. Our teachers and students have adapted quickly while continuing final assessments and wrapping up units before semester exams. Your partnership truly makes a difference.
Upcoming Events
Arts Collective & Concert – Tuesday, December 9
We are excited to host our Arts Collective and Concert, which was postponed due to the virtual days. Our students have worked very hard on these performances, and we are looking forward to celebrating their creativity.
Leavers & Vision for a Learner Awards Assembly – Tuesday, December 9
During Crew time, we will take a moment to say goodbye to three students who are leaving AISC this semester and to recognise several students who exemplify our Vision for a Learner. This is an important community moment for our high school.
Winterfest – Thursday, December 19
We are excited to bring back Winterfest, a community celebration that we planned last year but had to postpone due to rain. This year, our High School Student Council has been involved in shaping the event, and we look forward to a warm and joyful end to the semester.
Students should plan to be on campus beginning at lunchtime. We will start with a special celebratory lunch for students and staff, followed by a festive afternoon of hot chocolate, marshmallows, holiday movies, crafts, and games. The day will conclude with a fun community assembly.
Our goal is to create an experience that brings us together across divisions and sets a positive tone heading into the holiday break.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Warm regards,
Justyna McMillan

Final Exams will take place the following week. Your child will receive their schedule, and we ask that families help ensure students get good rest and maintain healthy routines during exam days. Here is the schedule.

Personalized Learning Pathways Session – Slides and Recording
Thank you to all who attended our final session in the Personalized Learning as part of our Pathways Series. It was wonderful to see such strong engagement, and we are especially grateful to the students who shared their experiences and insights from the program. Their voices brought the learning pathways to life and highlighted the diverse ways our Raptors are exploring their interests and passions.
For those who were unable to attend, we are including the session recording and slides so you can review the key information at your convenience.
This session concluded our three-part Pathways Series, and we hope it provided helpful clarity as families begin thinking ahead to the new academic year and upcoming course selection. We will share more information next week about the course selection process and timelines.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to support each student’s unique journey toward graduation and beyond.
