Current School Year End
For the current academic year (2025–2026), the last day of school for students will be June 4, 2026 (Thursday) and the last working day for faculty will be June 5, 2026 (Friday) as published previously.
Celebrating Student Excellence
Two high school personalized learning students have been selected to be part of Global Online Academy’s (GOA) Global Capstone Showcase, an achievement that puts them in the top 4% of students who applied. The GOA Global Capstone is a “unique opportunity for students to apply the skills and knowledge gained from their GOA coursework to real-world projects.” Their projects were chosen out of 1,500 submissions.
Daeun’s (G11) project, “How can technology be used to support patients and families in managing recovery after cleft surgery?” is rooted in her work with the Operation Smile Club at AISC. Her project shines a light on the days after cleft surgery, when families go home anxious and unsure. Global Online Academy says: Daeun’ passion for Operation Smile and her ability to convey that passion were fantastic! I love that she was able to build on a meaningful experience from AISC and her club.

Sukhyun’s (G12) project, “Chennai Water Pollution & Organic Chemistry” connects organic chemistry to real local challenges. By analyzing how pollutants travel, Sukhyun highlights why chemistry matters in environmental decision-making. Global Online Academy says: Your focus on molecular interactions, rather than just describing the pollutants themselves, demonstrates thoughtful, chemistry‑driven reasoning. The way you connected chemical properties to ecological and health impacts showed maturity in applying organic chemistry to real environmental issues. This was a well‑constructed and scientifically insightful project.
