MS Assembly

We need at least 2 representatives from each grade level (Grades 6, 7, and 8) to represent their grade in our next Middle School Assembly!

Do you have a crazy, unique, weird, or wonderful talent that no one else can do?
Examples:

  • Rolling your tongue 👅
  • Doing the splits 🤸
  • Balancing something unusual ⚖️
  • Fast clapping, beatboxing, juggling, or any cool trick 🎭

If you think you’ve got what it takes, Gchat Mr. Kader and let him know your Crazy Human Trick!

You’ll get a chance to show it live at the assembly next week — and represent your grade in style! 🌟

Show what you know and how you continue to grow as a mathematician! NWEA MAP Math Assessment on Jan 29 and Jan 30 during your Math Class. This is an additional data point to support you with seeing where you are in your Math growth goals. So, you will have the winter MAP assessment in January and then the Spring MAP later in April. Good Luck and try your best! We are excited to see how you continue to grow and achieve your goals!

Ready to move, laugh, and celebrate the Lunar New Year the traditional Korean way?

Below is some information regarding our boys and girls lockers rooms. A reminder that you should only leave belongings in the locker room during PE or sports practices. Please ensure your wet clothes are hung up to dry and collected by the end of the day. Items should not be left there overnight and will be removed. Locker rooms should also be safe spaces for everyone. If you see or hear anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, please speak to an adult.

Students must use student bathrooms only. Please don’t use the adult bathrooms
🚫 Adult bathrooms are for teachers and staff only.

Thank you for respecting the community rules and helping keep our school safe and comfortable for everyone.

A quick reminder about technology use:

  • iPads should not be used in the hallways before or between classes — please keep them in your bags until you’re in the classroom.
  • iPads are the only approved school device — laptops should stay at home unless a teacher has made a specific exception.

Thanks for helping us keep our hallways safe and focused for learning!

If it’s raining during break, please remember:

  • The fields are closed – they’re too muddy and slippery.
  • You can go to the gym or other covered areas to stay dry.
  • Follow directions from the teachers on duty and keep the space safe for everyone.

Thanks for helping make rainy days fun and safe!

  • Be sure to include new friends and invitee others to play

For your safety and to limit injury prior to ASIAC…

  • Closed-toed shoes with closed backs to play on the field – No Crocs or slides (P.E. rules apply)
  • Closed-toed shoes with closed backs to play basketball – No Crocs or slides (P.E. rules apply)

    • Second half – students can stay in cafeteria or go play on field, in Rec gym, or go to the library
    • No cell phones or iPads during break or lunch
    • School work on iPads in library is permitted
