AISC30 Aerial Photo | Monday, August 18
Today at 3:00 PM, all HS students will help form “AISC30” on the field as part of a special all-community aerial photo for AISC’s 30th anniversary.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Please come to the IHub during morning break or lunch to pick up your Tshirt.
- 3:00 PM: After A3 block, please your way to the soccer field and assemble under the awning by the tables and chairs. This is the “HS Holding Zone.” Make sure that you are wearing your red AISC30 t-shirt!
- Follow all staff instructions and stay focused—you are the first student group entering the formation.
- You can leave your belongings in the Holding Zone.
Let’s represent the High School with energy, cooperation, and pride! Go Raptors!
Senior Future Planning Retreat | Friday, Aug. 22

On Friday, August 22, Grade 12 students and families are invited to our first-ever Senior Future Planning Retreat—a full day of focused sessions designed to support students on their journeys beyond AISC. Whether applying to universities in the US, UK, Canada, Korea, or Europe, students will engage directly with international admissions representatives and explore topics like scholarships, essays, holistic admissions, and portfolio preparation.
Titles and Treats
Our new books have arrived! Please join us on Tuesday, August 26th, starting at 7:45 am for Titles and Treats! Get a sneak peek of the new books and enjoy a sweet treat. All next week, stop by the library to participate in games and win prizes. How many books did we purchase? What is this mystery book in the jar? Winners will be announced at Titles and Treats!
Accessing WiFi – Important Notice
Dear all,This is a final reminder that the temporary “Events” Wi-Fi network was discontinued on Wednesday, August 13.
From today , you will be disconnected from all networks except the HS Wi-Fi. Please switch to the HS Wi-Fi to avoid disruptions to your classes.
If you experience any issues, please email IT Support or visit the IT Office (Level 2, Room 2121) for assistance.
Instructions to connect:
- Click on the “High School” Wi-Fi network from your device’s Wi-Fi settings.
- Follow the step-by-step instructions in the Wi-Fi Setup Guide.
- Download and install the security certificate to ensure safe, authenticated browsing.
- This is a one-time setup to secure your connection and access the HS network.
National Academic Quiz Tournament @ AISC
NAQT is an exciting, fast-paced quiz bowl experience for students who love learning and friendly competition! In teams, students answer challenging questions covering a wide range of topics—math, science, literature, history, current events, and more. National Academic Quiz Tournaments (NAQT) is a quiz bowl tournament unique among U.S. quiz organizations for supplying questions and hosting championships at the middle school, high school, and college levels.
This is your opportunity to showcase the Raptors’ love of learning, teamwork skills, AND add a silver lining to your college and scholarship applications.
We will be participating in an interschool competition in Singapore (Asian Championship ) in the month of March 2026. We need to get prepared for the competition.
Join us to sharpen your mind, work as a team, and test your knowledge in a fun and supportive environment.
Meets Thursday, 7:45–8:25 AM in Room 3301.

AP Exam Self-study registration
If you would like to self-study and sit for an AP Exam in May 2026, please send Ms. Lisa Levi (llisa@aischennai.org) and Ms. Sunita (ssunita@aischennai.org) an email noting the AP subject you would like to self-study.
All Self-study candidates must submit a self-study waiver form.
If you wish to sit for more than 3 self study exams, please schedule a meeting with Ms. Lisa and your counselor.
In addition, please note the following:
- The preferred deadline for registration is September 29, 2025.
- The cost per subject is USD 129.
- The deadline for registration without a late fee is November 14, 2025
- After November 15 you can cancel your registration but a $40 late fee will apply
- The final late deadline is March 15th, 2026
Please also note that self-study students do not get access to AP Classroom but will get access to the full subject guide and unit guide through College Board online.
You can cancel your registration for a refund until March 15, 2026 (you will not receive a refund of the $40 late fee, however).You will sit for the AP exam at AISC in May 2026. You will receive examination information in April. If you have a question, please email Ms Lisa (llisa@aischennai.org)
Handbook Agreements Signature
A reminder that all Middle School and High School students are required to attest that they have read the handbook and sign the Handbook Agreements found when you log into RaptorNet (there is a RaptorNet link at the bottom of the main Handbook page). By signing these Agreements, students are acknowledging that they understand and agree to abide by all included AISC policies and guidelines. If you have not signed the handbook, please do so now.
Away for a Day Reminder – shared spaces during break times
A quick reminder that during lunch and recess, all shared MS-HS spaces—including the iHub, library, and other common areas—are phone-free zones. As part of our “Away for a Day” policy, cell phone use is not permitted in these spaces at these times. Let’s help maintain a focused and respectful environment for everyone. Thanks for doing your part!

Students, please note that bringing your School ID everyday, is mandatory. You need to have your ID with you at all times while on campus.

Using the AISC Fitness Room
If you are interested in using the Fitness Room in your free time you must read the information linked here and sign the agreement. Access will only be granted to those students who have completed the form.

Students, Please refer to the information in this link SAISA season 1.
Tardy policy
Students are expected to be in class by 8:30 am everyday. If your first block is a free period, you should check in at the High School office before 8:30 am. Students reporting after 8:30 am will be marked tardy. If you arrive late to school, please check in with Ms Sunita, before heading to class.
Pre-arranged Absence
Students intending to take a planned absence from school are required to complete the Pre-excused absence form, link here. The completed form needs to be submitted to the High School office 2 days prior to the absence.
Ti-Nspire Calculator Purchase
Students who would like to purchase a Ti-Nspire graphing calculator may please contact Ms Sunita (ssunita@aischennai.org). Payment of Rs 16000/- needs to be made via bank transfer to the AISC account. Payment details will be shared with you on request.
Locks and Lockers
HS students who would like to use a locker may please collect one from Ms. Sunita in the High School Office. Please note that you are responsible for the lock and the lock needs to be returned at the end of the school year.
