Dear AISC Community,
I am writing to share an important update regarding the Head of School transition.
As we communicated in October 2024, this academic year marks Head of School Leigh Fitzgerald’s final year at AISC. After much reflection, Ms. Fitzgerald and the AISC Board of Directors mutually agree that she will step away from the role earlier than planned, with her last day on March 15, 2025. While this decision considers Ms. Fitzgerald’s challenges as she navigates being apart from her family, it is also grounded in the Board’s confidence that AISC is well-positioned for this transition.
Effective March 16, 2025, Deputy Head of School Greg Clinton will assume the role of Interim Head of School. This transition was already in place for the next academic year, and Ms. Fitzgerald and Dr. Clinton have been working closely to ensure this seamless transition. Dr. Clinton has been a trusted leader on the School Leadership Team for the past five years and has been instrumental in shaping AISC’s strategic direction. We are confident in his stewardship of AISC.
This past year, Ms. Fitzgerald has led our community through a deeply collaborative process of refreshing our Mission and Vision. What has emerged is that AISC is a community defined by its people and shared commitment to learning and continuous growth. In the coming weeks, we mark an exciting milestone in AISC’s story as we share our evolved Mission and Vision with you.
As we move through this transition together, please join me and the Board of Directors in wishing Ms. Fitzgerald continued success in the future.
Thank you for your ongoing trust and support.
On behalf of the AISC Board of Directors,
Ravishankar Pillai
AISC Board Chairperson
