Dear AISC Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share important news regarding leadership transitions at AISC.

After much reflection, our Head of School Ms. Leigh Fitzgerald has informed the Board that the 2024–2025 academic year will be her final year at AISC. We are deeply grateful for Ms. Fitz’s leadership and vision, particularly her commitment to guiding our community through a mission deep-dive and refresh. This process has engaged voices from across the school community, providing a valuable opportunity to reflect on who we are and what we aspire to become in the future. It has sparked rich, intentional conversations about our shared values and the future we envision together.

In preparation for this transition and the imminent Head of School search, the Board has appointed the Director of Technologies and Research & Development, Dr. Greg Clinton, as Deputy Head of School—effective immediately. As part of the Senior Leadership Team these past five years, Dr. Clinton plays a key role in strategic decisions and has been instrumental in the continuous development of our Futures Plan. His deep commitment to AISC and forward-thinking leadership makes Dr. Clinton exceptionally well-equipped to guide us through this transition.

Dr. Clinton will step into the role of Interim Head of School for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 academic years. We have complete confidence in Dr. Clinton’s ability to ensure stability and continuity in learning, teaching, and operations during these important years, particularly as we welcome new High School and Middle School Principals in 2025–2026. His leadership will be essential in maintaining the momentum of ongoing strategic initiatives.

Looking forward, the Board is committed to conducting a thorough and inclusive search for our next Head of School, who will begin in the 2027–2028 school year. We will partner with a leading external search firm to support this process. We will engage all stakeholders—faculty, staff, students, parents, and the Board—to ensure that the next phase of our leadership aligns with our shared vision for the future.

We want to reassure the community that these changes will not affect the operations of AISC. Ms. Fitz, Dr. Clinton, the Board of Directors, and the Leadership Team are all fully committed to ensuring a smooth transition.

Thank you for your ongoing trust in and dedication to AISC.

We look forward to working together through this time of evolution.

On Behalf of the AISC Board of Directors,

Ravishankar Pillai
AISC Board Chairperson
